Jeruzalem, embroidered with a golden yarn, is a treasure of our region; with its holy name, energy lines, wine road with high quality white and red wines, exceptional viewpoints with a view of three countries: Austria, Hungary and Croatia, and a pilgrimage church. The town justifies the name of a heavenly place.
In the 12th century, the Crusaders passed through in the search of a way into today’s Middle Eastern Jerusalem. The Church of the Holy Mother of Sorrows from the 17th century glows like a lighthouse above the dark green ocean of waves of surrounding hills with thick manes of vineyards, and testifies to its reputation as a must-visit point of interest. On the main altar hangs a painting of Mary, said to be brought to these parts by Crusaders and pilgrims in the 12th century as a gesture of gratitude for returning from the Holy Land.
We invite visitors to experience our tourist farms, wine cellars, restaurants, guesthouses, apartments, RV rest areas, cycling routes, bridleways, waterways and walking routes, nature reserves, nature parks, ponds, the river Drava, castles, chateaus, sacral monuments and numerous museums.
