10.00 – 11.30 audio or live tour of the CHARTERHOUSE ŽIČE, a former Carthusian Monastery, located in the remote Valley of Saint John, only a stone’s throw away from the hustle and bustle of Slovenske Konjice, where the monks from the French Grande Chartreuse settled in the 12th Century. Today the place is partly renovated.
12.00 – 13.00 Visit THE OPLOTNICA MANSION, which lies next to a small park in the center of Oplotnica. It is a monument of countryside splendor with one of the finest stucco specimens near and far. Your next stop is THE PARK AND THE OLD LAUNDRY OF OPLOTNICA – on land that used to belong to the Windischgrätz gentry. Oplotnica offers the experience of old-style laundry, which was replaced by washing machines in the 1970s. Do you know how to do laundry in the good old-fashioned way?
13.00 – 14.00 Lunch at the FORBAR HOMESTEAD with local cuisine “TASTES OF ROGLA”. The Tastes of Rogla are a brand that connects local culinary service providers and producers of agricultural, food and products.
15.00 – 16.00 Visit the POHORJE TREETOP WALKWAY ON ROGLA, which will show you what the birds see. You will climb up to the mighty tower and walk along a 1,043 meter long path between trees.
17.00 – 18.00 Visit the CENTER NOORDUNG IN VITANJE, which discloses the secrets of the universe through virtual reality, screenings and exhibitions. The Center of Space Technologies of Herman Potočnik Noordung is an architectural futuristic work of art.
