FINALIST#2: Feel and experience the forest of Kočevsko – wild, but nice

Experience the vastness of the green forests of Kočevsko.

The landscape with the most naturally preserved regions in Slovenia will accept you as you are. In the deepest corners there are hidden remains of virgin forests where you can experience life in its primal form. Head deep into the forest and listen closely to the breaths of nature. Kočevsko is known for its karst phenomena. We will visit one of the wildest and rarely seen areas. We will walk along animal paths leading to the streams and their esophagus.

This time, we would like to present you our co-habitation with the nature. You will spend a day in our secret forest with a well experienced guide who will take you on an epic adventure – survival in nature. During your visit, you will see some of our most breathtaking viewpoints, you will learn which herbs, nuts and plants are edible, you will learn some wild food hunting – hand fishing, and try to make a fire on your own, which will help you make your own lunch!

Day 1
9.00 meeting a tourist guide in hostel Bearlog
10.00-12.00 hiking to Loška stena and snack at the viewing point
12.30-16.00 wild lunch – hand fishing, fire starting and forest sauna at Mokri Potok
16.30-18.00 exploring karst landscape at Morava
18.20 dinner at hunting lodge Pr’ Slavcu in Koče
