A fascinating experience with breath-taking views

Feel the excitement and enjoy an amazing experience, while discovering one of the most beautiful corners of the Alps with our legendary WWII Willys Jeep. We are sure that you’ll like the roar of the engine, the chirping of birds, breath-taking views, high mountain pastures, old military forts and defensive trenches, wild streams of untamed rivers, narrow and hanging bridges, a view of steep walls and alpine peaks as well as delicious local cuisine. With this icon of the automobile world, we will show you the beauties of the Soča River valley and its greatest natural and cultural sights. Best of all, this day is dedicated exclusively to you and to your wishes.

Day 1
08:30 Meet your driver/guide in the small village of Volarje.
09.15 Arrival at the Polog mountain pasture, where you will continue by foot. Descent to the Tolminka river to enjoy some time by the pristine water. You may cross the river by hand-driven cable basket. A truly amazing experience.
10.00 On Polog Mountain you will learn about the production of cheese and dairy products in the traditional way, and gather back your strength by tasting fresh delicacies. After a delicious shepherd’s snack, drive to the Memorial Church of the Holy Spirit in Javorca. The church celebrates the fallen Austro-Hungarian defenders of the Isonzo Front battlefield (1915–1917).
11.30 Drive back to the valley and then up again to the Kolovrat mountain ridge, where in clear weather you can see the beautiful panorama of the Soča valley and high peaks of the Alps. The view extends all the way to the Adriatic Sea.
14.30 An extremely interesting drive into the valley all the way to Kobarid, where you will discover the famous military memorial, which is the only ossuary of fallen Italian soldiers in Slovenia, and was opened in 1938 by Benito Mussolini.
15.30 Drive back to the heart of the mountains, through amazing mountain pastures to the high shepherd’s settlement of Zaslap. Discover the megalithic circles in the middle of the mountain slopes and feel the cosmic energy of amazing structures. Then enjoy amazing views while we will serve you with a delicious early dinner.
18.00 Drive back to the starting point, where our expedition ends.
