Day 1
9:00 – Arrival at the Koroška Regional Museum in Ravne, where you will be welcomed for the blacksmith experience. You will visit a blacksmith workshop, where you will learn about the long-standing tradition of blacksmithing in the Koroška region. You will also have the opportunity to try your hand at this ancient craft and create your own blacksmithing products under the guidance of an experienced blacksmith.
11:00 – Visit the beekeeping collection in Mežica, where you will explore the history of beekeeping in Koroška. You will learn about apitherapy, the healing properties of honey, propolis, and other bee products that can help relax and boost your health. You will try out hive aerosol inhalations, honey massages for detoxification, and relaxation in the apiary, all of which help reduce stress.
13:15 – 14:45 – Lunch at one of the Koroška farms with a unique view. You will enjoy a traditional Koroška meal, enriched with Koroška strda – a typical local dish made from local ingredients and honey.
Afternoon – Walk along a part of the Ravenska Beekeeping Trail.
Evening – After a day full of experiences, you will relax and indulge at the Wellness Center in the Ravne Sports Center.
Overnight stay in the Natura Fina Resort Glamping.
Day 2
9:00 – After breakfast, depart for the hike to Uršlja Gora. Uršlja Gora is known as one of the more easily accessible peaks and is a popular pilgrimage site, with the church of St. Ursula at the summit, the highest situated churc in Slovenia. From the top of the 1,699-meter high mountain, you will enjoy a spectacular view of the Mežica, Mislinja, Dravska, and Šaleška valleys. Along the way, you will taste water from a pure spring, step into the stone imprint of St. Ursula, and soak in the exceptional views from the summit. At the top, you will also find the highest beekeeping hive in Slovenia. For lunch, you will enjoy a hearty dish served with homemade apple strudel, all while taking in the stunning view of Koroška.
Afternoon (15:00 – 16:00) – Visit Prežihova Bajta, where you will learn about the story of the famous Slovenian writer Prežihov Voranc and enjoy the authentic atmosphere on Preški Vrhi.
