FINALIST#3: Lisjak Gourmet Vintage Tour

The ”Lisjak Gourmet Vintage Tour” offer is an all-day olive oil ‘training course’ for individuals or groups. We begin by picking up our guests at an agreed place.

The noise of vintage vehicles, represented by the Zastava and Fiat brands, quickly draws our guests’ attention by bringing huge smiles to their faces. We continue our journey along the hidden corners of the coast, old roads and between hidden views. Halfway through the tour, we make a stop on a cliff with a beautiful view of the Slovenian coast and offer a glass of Mezzalana house sparkling wine obtained by a classic method – brut zero. We continue along the slopes towards the final destination. We get to the Lisjak estate during sunset, when the heat dies down. There, we offer an educational tour by explaining how olive oil is produced and processed. In the end, we offer a guided tasting of some samples, accompanied by an explanation from an expert.

After that, it is time for some tradtional Istrian dishes: an Istrian ‘narezek’ (dry meat), a drop or two of Malvasia or Refosco wine, ‘bobiči’ stew, pasta fusi with truffles, all based on recipes from our grandmothers. We finish the meal with a dessert of homemade cheese pie, served with seasonal fruit on top.

Day 1
9:00 meeting at an agreed location
9:30 we start the ride overlooking the most beautiful views of the coast, stop for a photo shoot
11:00 we stop for a glass of Mezzalana sparkling wine and a bite of proscioutto on a cliff overlooking the Slovenian coast
12:00 panoramic drive to the Lisjak estate
13:00 we continue with a guided tour of the oil mill, learn about the process of oil pressing, taste 8 oil samples, learn about the correct oil-tasting
14:00 banquet with a typical Istrian cold snack in the garden
14:30 traditional Istrian dish – ‘bobiči’ stew
15:00 searching for truffles in our olive garden with a dog and a real truffle expert
15:30 returning to the oil mill and tasting the paste made from the truffle ‘’catch”
16:00 dessert – homemade cheese pie with seasonal fruit
17:00 “pop up shopping”, buying oil, cosmetics or a wooden peace as a souvenir
18:00 chat with a glass of wine…

*the program can also include:
– olive harvest (season time)
– refilling one’s own bottle directly from the processing (season time)
– race around the building with old Pony bicycles (especially for team buildings…)
