Meet Šalek valley in the sky and fly into Šoštanj like Tomaš Bata, the legendary Czech factory man and shoe exporter did in the year 1931. Trust your excellent pilot and old-timer driver who will take you to the town villa, where the leather factory’s lawyer works.

Let the voice of Malvine Woschnagg – Vošnjak, a woman with an incredible life story, invite you to an exquisite meal. In the Museum of the Leather Industry of Slovenia, see the grand industrial past of Šoštanj and discover the details of the life and work of Šoštanj tanners.

Day 1

• On the aerodrome Lajše, you will be greeted by the guide and caretaker of the family estate Vošnjak. During the plane ride, witness the aerial view of Šalek valley.
• After the flight, ride an old-timer car around Šoštanj and town center, where the Vošnjaks lived.
• In Villa Mayer, you will witness the extent of the former factory, and the hostess Malvina Woschnagg – Vošnjak will join you for a dinner of fine culinary treats.
• After the meal, you will tour the Museum of the Leather Industry of Slovenia and see how leather masterpieces are made.
• Walking through the town center, you will discover the town of leather and light, its attractions, and visit the thermoelectric plant (optional).
• After visiting the town café, you will return to the starting point – the sports aerodrome Lajše.
