Discover a Green diamond at the doorstep of Ljubljana with us. We will travel between the Legends & Now. Experience Ljubljana Marshes – the homeland of our most iconic inhabitant – the Ljubljana Dragon, who is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The wetlands are inhabited by as many as 89 butterfly species and provide a habitat for several bird species endangered across Europe and the world.
Discover the wild & pristine Iški vintgar and be surrounded by fresh air, green woods and the emerald Iška river. Enjoy the interesting appearance of the gorge and its rapid little river, sandbanks, numerous river pools and steep rocky banks. A walk through the gorge offers an opportunity to see numerous interesting rocks, which testify to the area’s turbulent geological history.
We will visit seven magic ponds in the Valley of Draga – a part of the Natura 2000 – EU wide network of nature protection areas. Today, the ponds form part of an area of extraordinary natural diversity and an important nesting site for aquatic birds. Scientists have recorded more than 150 different bird species nesting in the area and 49 species of dragonflies. Experience an exciting adventure in pristine nature with a local guide and find peace that only heaven can give.
