Slovenia’s 46 km of the coastline won’t win any prizes for length, yet it is home to the beautiful and serene National Park of Piran Salt Pans and the Bay of Piran.
Within the Bay of Piran lies the Fonda Fish Garden, where the Fonda family uses their unique approach to raising the now renowned Fonda Piran Sea Bass.
The family, all lovers of the sea, are also marine biologists and it is this deep knowledge and passion that led them to develop a system of raising fish that will not only inspire but also delight the visitor.
The hard work and passion shines through on a tour, which is entirely interactive; there are no secrets, you will feed the young see bass with carefully chosen feed selected for its prime ingredients and be taken through the stages of growth from fingerling to mature fish in the off shore floating nets.
